Consult all the collections of the Art collection
The multimedia library has a collection of 110 artist books.
The so-called "artist's books" are the result of an exceptional collaboration between a writer and a visual artist.
The majority of these books were purchased from a specialist representative who visited all public reading libraries in France until 2006 as well as from the artists themselves (Ruiz and Larcher).
These works (curious books, object books, always beautiful numbered editions, published on quality papers) were produced at the rate of 1 to 5 titles per year from the origin of the library (1981) until 2010. The latest purchases were made from Cadex editions.
At the same time, a collection known as “Art Value” has already been relocated to the Ziem art gallery library. It consisted of 18 issues of the review Les Cahiers d'art (1933-1960 era), 4 issues of the review Rue du Dragon, 24 issues of the review Commerce (1925-1932 era), 1 collection of the review Minotaur regrouping numbers published from 1933 to 1939 as well as a few copies of rare or out of print books from the 50s and 60s.
Between 2005 and 2010, the Multimedia Library bought or received as a donation, on the occasion of the exhibitions it had organized, works by the artists exhibited. It has 20 photographs and drawings exhibited in the various public spaces of the Multimedia Library as well as in 2 rooms of the Town Hall cafeteria. A list of works has been established.
The media library has the complete collection of poetry posters produced by the publishing house Le bleu du ciel. (79 posters in 2018).
